new DA repeat region not working

I've just updated the old mysql page to mysqli and now the repeat region does not work. I've deleted it and reapplied it several times, without success.

I'm therefore unable to test if the other server behaviours dependent on the repeat region work.

Cheers
Chris

The repeat selection server behavior doesn't effect the number of rows returned by the recordset. That is because it is designed to be used within a repeat region server behavior for nested repeats.

The best solution would probably be to use Repeat Region instead (Webassist->MysQLi->MySQLi Repeat Region)

That would update the number of results returned in the recordset to match the repeat region. Another solution is to update the rows returned in the recordset manually.

That is done in this line:

php:
$rsTopPics = new WA_MySQLi_RS("rsTopPics",$connRoSite_i,1);

To make it return more results you can just change the number at the end to match the number of results you want returned. To return all rows you set the value to zero like:

php:
$rsTopPics = new WA_MySQLi_RS("rsTopPics",$connRoSite_i,0);

Thanks Ray

I missed that - I just changed the recordset from mysql to mysql_i and hadn't checked.

Now repeating a expected, but the multiple update doesn't work. Again, I have applied it several times to check, without success.

Cheers

It looks like you still have MySQL update code for your Multiple Update and not MySQLi Multiple Update. Try applying the MySQLi Multiple Update server behavior instead.

Hi Ray

Have re-applied it, starting from scratch. Still doesn't work.

I'm glad it is working now. It can be a bit tricky and converting from mySQL to mySQLi may have some challenges since their are hidden form elements and dynamic field names all working together.
