Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING or '(' in /htdocs/public/www/slogan-services/webassist/email/WA_Email.php on line 6

Hello Ray,
I just created a simple form using bootstrap 3.3.7 and it works fine on my local webserver.
But when I upload it to the webserver it give this error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING or '(' in /htdocs/public/www/slogan-services/webassist/email/WA_Email.php on line 6
I can't find the error here.
I tried to change the email settings (actually is set to use the MAIL function).
I attach here the pages along with webassist directory.
Hope this helps.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Tony

What version of PHP does your live server run? I think the new email library requires php 5.3.0 or newer.

Hi Ray,
it's PHP 5.2.6.
Have I to use DB1 instead? Or is there a way to use it anyway?
TIA

That is a generally frowned upon version of php to use. I'd ask your hosing company to upgrade to 5.6. That is considered the most stable php 5 version with the least security holes.
