Problems retaining access rules

Hi Ray

Am converting a site using the latest DataAssist. I've defined the access rules, log in, everything OK.

Do something else (it doesn't seem to matter what) and I can no longer log in - access denied. I go to check the rules and get messages like 'the rule 'siteadmin' is no longer defined'.
Click OK
Then I get the screenshot shown in the attachment.

I redefine the site access rules, everything's OK for while, then I make a change to a page - e.g. put the html editor on it - the find my rules are no longer defined.

It's happened 4 times so far.

Cheers
Chris

Can you send me a copy of the helper groups rules php file you are using? I'll add it to my test site and add an html editor and see if I can reproduce the problem. I'll have to reproduce it to fix it, so any information you can give me about the exact steps would help. It wouldn't be happening with any change to the page, but possibly a specific change like adding an html editor with file management... what pages do you go to and settings do you use in the html editor? If I can reproduce an issue then I can fix it. The hard part is usually setting up the environment and following the right steps so I can see it.

Thanks Ray.

It probably was when setting up the rules for the html editor; it happened a few times, but since saving the editor as a preset, it hasn't happened since.

helpergroupsrules file attached.

I wasn't able to reproduce it. How did you set up the rules? You mean editing them in the rules manager?

Hi Ray

I can't be sure of the process, unfortunately.

I think I set up the security assist rules, then tried to set rules for who could access the html editor. I first noticed the issue when I couldn't access pages I should have been able to access - then discovered that the rules had been deleted.

Sorry I can't be more specific.

Cheers
Chris
