Upgrading some PHP 5.6/MariaDB 10.1 intranets to PHP 7.2

Hi, I've got some old intranets that are running on PHP 5.6 with MariaDB 10.1. My web host is finally sunsetting PHP 5.6 and wants us all to upgrade to PHP 7.2. Is there anything I should be aware of and is the latest version of DataBridge able to help me upgrade the old code if need be? Thanks!

You will have to create a new connection for MySQLi and then open any server behaviors that interact with the database and change the connection it uses. Once you click "ok" it should update the code to work with php7

Thanks, Ray. I'm just finally getting to work on this. I purchased your MySQLi Server Behaviors in November anticipating that I'd be needing to do this at some point. Is this the correct plugin I should be using, along with Data Bridge, of course. I have v1.2.4 installed. Thanks!

DataBridge is all you will need, but you will need the latest version. It has MySQLi Server Behaviors built in and it does the page conversion from old MySQL to MySQL, which MySQLi Server Behaviors won't do on its own.

Hi Ray, so does that mean I bought the MySQLi Server Behaviors for nothing? Any way to apply that purchase to my DB upgrade or get a refund for the server behaviors, which I've yet to even use?

Anybody that purchased MySQLi Server behaviors gets $100 off Data Bridge v2, so that will happen automatically.
