The MRT steps should be the same for the new version. Some users have reported issues with multiple insert and MRT, so I'm actually looking into those now and making bug fixes if necessary.

Unfortunately I couldn't offer additional discounts for BETA participants. The discounts are already pretty steep and I'm trying to fund the update of Design Extender and power CMS to MySQLi. Hopefully that will be next after all of the kinks are ironed out in DataBridge.

You can already use the same database across multiple sites if you set up your database to allow remote connections. I'm not sure what you mean by variable support... If you expand on what you are referring to I can comment on it more.

You should be able to use 1 database for multiple sites already. There is a database setting to allow remote connections and just use the same database server in your connection.

We probably won't allow direct php coding in the cms..there are just too many ways that could break things.

The largest changes are mySQLi support and improved email functionality.
Database remote access is a setting in the database itself. Talk to your hosting provider and they will be able to tell you if they support it and how to set it up.

I think you should just install DataBridge V2... just make sure you have already uninstalled the Deprecated Server Behaviors, MySQLi Server Behaviors, and Data Bridge V1 if you have had them installed previously.
