Need direction on product versions for Dreamweaver

I am recommending downloading Webassist products to the co. I just started working for. I will be updating their new site. They have their website on server using PHP 5.3.3. I'm afraid if I get the new versions of your products it will generate code for PHP7. I need to stick to the old, however, I am using Dreamweaver CC, so the behaviors or extensions are not supported any longer?...so I can't install the old software? I'm looking to see what to do and needed some of your expert advise. Thank you.

The new code will work on PHP 5.3.. MySQLi was introduced in php 5.0.

You shouldn't have any issues, and you won't have to worry if they change php versions later.

Grear. I will download it later. I logged in to Adobe and looked for the Add Ons server behaviors but couldn't find it. Do you know if it's still possible. Or I will just run it and it should install on cc?

You don't need it anymore. That is all included in DataBridge 2.

I purchased and downloaded the .zxp databridge file, but....how to install? I'm finding outdated info. Maybe you can provide an updated instructions page. I will keep looking as I need to run this. thank you.

Adobe dropped support for their extension manager. You can download a free third-party extension manager in order to install. The most common are project seven’s:

And dmxzone’s:

I kept looking and found instructions on using the ExMan command-line tool. Looks like it worked. Thank you.

Yes, command line is another option, but takes a little more technical know-how, so I usually suggest the third-party extension managers.
