Deprecated methods with the same name as their class

I’m using Dreamweaver 2019 v19.0 with MAMP running PHP 7.2.8 on a Mac. I’ve just reinstalled the latest versions of all my Webassist Extensions (Free Tools, Deisgn Extender, DataBridge and eCart) via DMXzone Extension Manager along with their Database Connector PHP extension.

Having updated all the MySQL to MySQLi, using DataBridge, I’m getting the following error messages with eCart:

Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; WA_eCart_Rule has a deprecated constructor in [my website path]/WA_eCart/WA_eCart_Definition_PHP.php on line 4

Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; WA_eCartDisplayCSSLooper has a deprecated constructor in [my website path]/WA_eCart/WA_eCart_Definition_PHP.php on line 1000

Any ideas? I’m under some considerable pressure to update this site since my hosting service has switched to PHP7 and this looks to be the last issue I have to resolve.

You can turn off deprecated messages in your php.ini and ignore these since they won't cause any issues in php7.... it is a warning that they will not work in a future version.

These are both eCart errors. They should be fixed if you update your cart object... however, if you update the cart object to the latest version, you may need to regenerate your view cart page.

Hi Ray.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Does this mean that I can ignore the messages completely for now?

Ideally I'd like to do a proper job, so this doesn't come back to haunt me in a future version of PHP, but my view cart page has been heavily rearranged to fit the clients required format, so updating with the display manager would require a lot of manual adjusting afterwards. If I can just ignore the messages, though, the should do the trick for now.

Yes, you can turn off deprecated messages in your php.ini file and ignore the message, which would no longer be displayed.
