DataBridge 2, request feature: move up/down records

The old MX Kollection (by Interaktonline) had an interesting feature, the possibility to change the order of the records:

https://web.archive.org/web/20060509134001/http://www.interaktonline.com/Products/Dreamweaver-Extensions/NeXTensio/Features/Details/Move+up%252Fdown+records.html?id_ftr=478
-----------
Using NeXTensio, you will be able to build a records list by which you can actually change the records order in the database.
For example, if you are managing an image gallery, and you want the images to be displayed in a specific order, you can implement this very easily by indicating to NeXTensio which is the order field in your table. We created the code to allow you to move records up and down in the client-side, in a very productive manner, and then apply the changes in the database as well. In the NeXTensio form, the order field will be automatically incremented when inserting a new record.
-----------

In practice, there was a numeric field in the table that pressing up/down bottons changed the numeric value and so the order.
Is possibile to have the same feature with DataBridge?
Thanks.

It would be possible to do that, but that isn't currently included. I usually like drag/drop re-ordering instead of arrows, but I suppose arrows work. I'll consider adding that in a future release. It isn't an extremely common request. It is certainly something I could help you add to your site in a 1 hour premier support ticket in the meantime.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Yes Drag and Drop would be better of arrows (Interaktonline's extension were from 2006, I think a lot of things have changed compared to 12 years ago) and it would be a good idea to include this feature in DataBridge.

I think you need to put a lot of this "advanced/ajax" features in DataBridge, would make the product much more attractive.
