How to select phpmailer in SEND EMAIL sb?

Hello all,
I just installed DB2 and I need to set up a form to send an email using phpmailer.
I can see phpmailer fiels uploaded to the wa email folder, but I cannot find a way to select the phpmailer engine.
I can choose between:

  1. mail
  2. smtp
  3. sendmail
  4. qmail

Perhaps I'm missing something here.

BTW, what is the most secure/modern engine to choose between the above ones?
TIA
tony

They all use phpmailer. Those are the supported phpmailer options for sending email. Mail is the most common standard one.

Ray I haven't been able to send mail via my site with the new email program. I do get this error in the error log.

16-Oct-2018 17:43:24 America/New_York] PHP Notice: Undefined property: WA_Email::$onSent in /home/pgebtzcx/public_html/wsstudio/webassist/email/WA_Email.php on line 450

any help would be appreciated

A notice like this shouldn't stop the email from functioning. I have updated the extension to correct the issue, but I don't think it would have prevented the email from sending.

If you give me FTP access and a url for a test page I can take a look and tell you why it might not be working.

usually if you fill out the email info WRONG!! things just don't work. One of those days,I got it working under the mail setting, not even sure what the others are for :-) My problem was with port and the from info. Thanks
