The file being referred to is located here:
--C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Name>\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration\Shared\Webassist\Surveyor\Library

This error may have to do with your operating system. One thing you can try is to shut down Dreamweaver and extension manager and delete the WinFileCache#####.dat file located here:
--C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Name>\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration\

the file structure is like
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Name>\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\zh-tw\Configuration\Shared\Webassist\Surveyor\ Library

in my computer .....

only a little change the en-us is zh-tw in my computer....

not only this app but also site assist professional meet the similar problem...
but I'LL try again to delete the file you told me....
if it solves , I'll report here...

pity...

By deleting the file ,it still doesn't make the surveyor work .....
I remove all extensions and install only surveyor .....

it still don't work for me ....
the same problem shows.....

maybe the surveyor don't know the file structure between en-US and zh-TW
so the Shared_Ser.js can't work .....

can you help me to solve this??

by the way , when I install Surveyor ,everything goes ok.. No warning ...

I recommend deleting your config folder. This will explain how to do this:

showpost.php?p=15525&postcount=2

after deleting your config, make sure to only install Surveyor and make sure to have the latest Surveyor version installed.
