Add to cart button on results page

Add to cart button on results page

I want to add Add to Cart buttons to the product results page to allow users to quickly add multiple products. These are books which are available in either download or paperback format. I've copied over the format select list and Add to Cart button from my product detail page, along with the Add to Cart server behavior and the recordsets, but the products don't add to the cart. Not sure what I'm missing (and my detail page keeps throwing up Javascript errors in Dreamweaver which doesn't help!) I've attached the detail page and the results page. Could you possibly take a look for me?

You have a form tag nested inside of another form tag. That won't work. If you give me FTP access and a URL to view the page live I can see what I can do to make the necessary changes to make it work.

I removed the outer form and updated the cart code to do an add to cart from the recordset. I also used joins to get it all from a single recordset since you only need the print version.

Thanks so much for your help Ray. I had to change the price it was pulling from the recordset from ProductPrice to HighestPrice as it was showing the paperback version at the download price, but all working perfectly now.

Hi Ray, I've discovered an issue with discount codes when using the Quick Add buttons on the results page that you helped me with. The client offers bundle discounts but when the books are added from the results page and the discount code is applied, it doesn't work. If they are added from the product details pages though, it does work. I can only think that there is some info not being passed from the results page that is required to activate the discount code - could you take a look for me? Details in PM.

The add to cart code on index.php was setting the Format to:
"Print version (softback)"

but the discount rule was set to look for:
"Print version (softback) "

I added the extra space at the end on the index.php page line 143, and that appears to have fixed the problem.

That's great, thank you!

Hi Ray, sorry but I've just discovered another issue with the above results page - when the books are added from the results page, the postage isn't being added. I've had a look at the code and compared it to the product detail page but can't see where the issue is. Could you possibly take a look for me?

Hi Ray, hoping you saw the above message - would you be able to take a look for me and advise? Thanks.
