gdpr page

Hello Ray
I expect this subject has been discussed in this forum and I wondered
if you can direct me to where there are some recomendations of how to create a typical cookies
acceptance page.

Thank you

John

There are so many ways to do it. It really depends on how you want the message to appear.

It is really just showing a message when a cookie isn't set ("acceptedCookies") and saving the cookie when the terms are accepted.

If you are looking for a packaged solution you can use google to find one by searching for: "cookie consent popup"

Here is one I found: https://cookieconsent.insites.com/

Hi Ray,
I tried out some code from this site and it seemed to work at first but now I cannot see any results. Just seemed to stop working.
I have placed this short code in a PM. Can you see anything incorrect?
Thanks
John

I can't see what is wrong with it. What is it supposed to do that stopped working?

Nothing shows on the page except xxx

I am using localhost to test this?
Thanks

What are you expecting to see on the page? It looks like XXX is all there is in the body of the page. It has cookie consent set up, but once you have approved, then the page would just show with the content in the body.

Thanks Ray
I realise this is all over and above what I should ask of you but I am, as usual really grateful for this help.
I don't understand the "once you have approved",
I have obviously missed this part.
Can you please enlighten me?
Thanks
John

The cookie warning. It pops up once on the site but once you click that you accept it, then it won't show in future visits.
