multiple repeat regions of same mysqli recordset

multiple repeat regions of same mysqli recordset

Hi Ray

I'm trying to have a repeat region showing all records from a recordset and another one that shows only the first 3 records from the same recordset.

However, when I change one, it changes the other - so either both show 3 records or both show all.

UPDATE: I have managed to do it by adding a row number to the recordset (0, 1, 2, 3 etc), then using a 'show if less than 3' to return rows 0, 1 & 2 in the second region. maybe there's a better way of doing it?

I'm sure there are several ways to do it. As long as you aren't returning a very large result set your technique seems suitable. You might be able to do it more efficiently, but as long as there aren't that many rows in the recordset that probably wouldn't be significant.
