MySQLi > Insert record > Column bindings > Dynamic data can't be selected

I'm trying to insert a record using the MySQLi Data Management > Insert Record
but can't select form fields in the column bindings > dynamic data panel.
The panel is unresponsive - it is stuck on the Field: URL selection.

I created a recordset first for the form fields, but not sure why this is necessary as the deprecated DW server behaviors did not require a recordset to insert a record.

Another thing - the database connections are not showing in the Database Panel. Just a plus sign to add a connection which has been done already.

This was a bug in one of the CC builds. Download the latest Dreamweaver version from the Adobe creative cloud and it should fix this issue.

I have DW CC 2017.5 installed - I don't want to upgrade to 2018.1

Could you downgrade. That particular build has a big issue where bindings and database connections don't work properly. When it was released we ran a big banner saying "Don't update your Dreamweaver version" on the top of every page of our site. I don't have a great answer for people that would insist on using that particular build. You could use a previous or newer version to fix the issue.

Thanks Ray - I missed that notice. In that case I'd rather move forward and install 2018.1
