PowerCMS Installation Wizard Step 4 of 5

Hello
I am trying to complete PowerCMS Installation Wizard Step 4 of 5 on my localhost.

Step 4 of 5 seems not to recognise the username or password.
ERROR: Failed to save the settings in the database.
Please verify your database connection.
I have tested the connection and this is successful.

I am wondering which username and password it is looking for.

I have a username for the connection MySql but do not remember any password for the database pcms
created during the install process.

I entered the password details for the connection but this failed.

Thanks
John

You should be able to go into the table directly using phpMyAdmin and get the username and password from the wa_settings table if it was created properly at one point.

I'd have to debug this with you in a screen sharing session to be sure of what went wrong. I'm not familiar with what might cause this from the description alone.

Thanks Ray

I am attaching a picture of phpmyadmin with the wa_settings table.
I hope I have this correct.

That looks like the installation didn't work properly. If you post a US phone number or Skype contact information I'll call you and do screen sharing to help you complete the installation.

We debugged this in a screen sharing session. The issue was that a MySQLi connection was specified and PowerCMS has not been updated for MySQLi yet. We updated the connection to standard MySQL and the installer was able to complete.

Thank you Ray for the excellent session, you fixed the problem and I learned more!
