Most common reason Query Editor fails to recognize tables?

Thread began 7/20/2018 12:48 pm by Steve | Last modified 7/23/2018 10:03 am by Ray Borduin | 1052 views | 5 replies |

Steve

Most common reason Query Editor fails to recognize tables?

What trouble shooting should happen to find out why the query editor works in some instances (sites) and not others (new site based on old).

I have a new site that I am recreating as a derivative of a currently working site. I've created a new MySQLi connection so as to better isolate the site from others sharing the same DB.

But the new site works in the Bindings Panel but fails to load tables into the Query Editor (see screens)

I've compared the Database files and saw the older one set the Charset. Adding this did not solve the problem.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Note using another connection to the same DB does work.
Permissions have been reviewed and both connections have the same permissions to the same DB.
Erased the server side _mmServerScripts directory

Still no positive outcome.

I'm not sure why that would be... maybe a dollar sign in your password?

Of course there's a $ sign in my password... I'll reset it later and retest. thanks for the suggestion.

The " $ " in the password was in fact the culprit.

Maybe put an Alert in the software to note this exception when encountered? Could save some of us a lot of hours trying to figure this out....
