Checkbox fields not showing in Insert Record Wizard binding area

Checkbox fields not showing in Insert Record Wizard binding area

I have a WA created admin page with text fields, checkboxes, a radio button and multiple file uploads. There are three manually created checkboxes that I can't get to consistently show in the Insert Record Wizard binding area.

Thought the problem could be copy and pasted code, but I've created new from scratch with same problem. I can get them to show up by either recreating the Repeat Selection SB, or starting from scratch with a new checkbox. However, as soon as I close out the wizard and reopen it, the checkboxes are gone again.

They don't show in any of the single or multiple insert record wizards created for the page.

Oddly, the manually created radio button, or other form fields, never disappear.

Browsed the forum, but didn't find anyone else with this problem.

File is attached.

Once a form element is repeated and used in a Insert Multiple server behavior it can't be referred to from bindings directly anymore. What are you trying to do that would require using bindings to reference the values?

Two of the checkboxes insert into one table; the other checkbox inserts into a second table and the radio button inserts into a third table.

Because I have more than one checkbox in a single form, this removes them all from the form listing in the Bindings tab?

I refer back to WA wizards to better understand how the plugins work. Also, it avoids my tendency to copy and paste code outside the wizard, which has caused issues in the past.

If they are repeated then they should be used in a Multiple Insert, Multiple Update, or Manage Relational Table server behavior. Those behaviors have dropdown lists to select the repeated form elements, which should be used in place of the bindings.

This is the issue I'm dealing with. In another post I'm trying to get two checkboxes to insert data two ways (1,1 1,2 and 2,1 2,2). The first Insert Multiple Record SB covers the first set of data, but not the second. My solution was to add a second Insert Multiple Record SB. However, I can no longer access the checkbox form elements from the dropdown list in the Bindings tab.

If this is the way it's supposed to work, then adding a second Insert Multiple Record SB for the same two checkboxes must be wrong.

I'm afraid I don't exactly understand the scenario.

You are inserting into two tables. It looks like your page has ProdType, IndustryType, and ProdSize.

Can all three of those have multiple selections? What two tables are you inserting into and what values would be inserted? What is the live URL where I can view the page.

Once you have a repeated form element it should be selected from the value dropdown, not from the lightning bolt.

The Lube and Industry checkboxes insert IDs into the prodtype child table based on multiple selections from each:

Example: Two selections are made from each set of checkboxes (using names rather than IDs for clarity)-
Grease Agriculture
Grease Mining
Oil Agriculture
Oil Mining

Currently, I only get this:
Grease Agriculture
Grease Mining

After selecting each checkbox in the Wizard Bindings Tab value dropdown, I've noticed that I only get one 'repeated' value in the Bindings Tab (based on the 'repeated from' selection in the General Tab).

To me, this means I either need to add a second 'Insert Multiple Record' SB to get the second repeated value, or add a Manage Relational Table server behavior to get the two checkboxes to work together.

However, if I insert a second IMR, I can't use the value dropdown checkboxes any longer because the first IMR took them out of play.

Does this mean adding a MRT is the answer or can this be achieved just by changing the settings in the first Multiple Record Insert?

We ended up working through this in a screen sharing session. Since he is actually managing multiple relational tables with a single join table it wasn't possible to do without some hand coding.
