Problem with apostrohpe's from Word

I have server validation set up on this form:

This directs to for validation.

Client has sent through some screenshots of validation errors in the textarea box which validation is set up for as follows:

$WAFV_Errors .= WAValidateAN(((isset($_POST["formTEXT"]))?$_POST["formTEXT"]:"") . "",true,true,true,true,",.;:'@-+!"£\r\n$%&()?",true,4);

I narrowed it down, after some serious head scratching, to a problem submitting an apostrophe from Word. As you'll see from the above, I already have an apostrophe in my list of allowed characters. However, the apostrophe that's pasted from a text editor, such as Word, is different and causes validation to fail.

So I added...

’ the list of allowable characters as follows...

$WAFV_Errors .= WAValidateAN(((isset($_POST["formTEXT"]))?$_POST["formTEXT"]:"") . "",true,true,true,true,",.;:'@-+!"’£\r\n$%&()?",true,4);

...but it's still failing validation? Hope you can help.

Thank you.

You probably have to add it the same way word does and not the encoded version like:

$WAFV_Errors .= WAValidateAN(((isset($_POST["formTEXT"]))?$_POST["formTEXT"]:"") . "",true,true,true,true,",.;:'@-’+!\"£\r\n$%&()?",true,4);
