CSS Sculptor: Errors importing updated Layouts

I have been trying to import the updated layouts that come with the latest version of CSS Sculptor and every time I try to import them into the layout manager I get the same error message:The file you selected is not a valid CSS Sculptor layout. First I selected the xml docs and then I tried selecting the zip files. neither worked.

Platform Mac OS X 10.5.7

Which layouts are you trying to import? The Standard layouts are already included in the install of Sculptor. If you want to import ems based layouts, you should unzip the file downloaded from the site. Then select the .xml files that are directly within the directory you just unzipped. The name will look something like this:
1ColumnElasticCenteredEmsText.xml

or something to that nature. In the same level directory, there should be a directory that has a corresponding name. Do not select to import anything from within that directory.

Updating Layouts

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for responding. I was finally able to load the new ems layouts, but I was unable to reinstall the original themes: Cabo, etc. I saved a copy of them, but I thought that I needed to remove them before I could update them.

Thanks for your help,
Jessica

Importing the existing layouts should be the same as importing the ems based layouts. If you are able to import the ems based layouts, but are unable to import the pre-installed layouts, what you can do is uninstall CSS Sculptor and reinstall it. The pre-installed layouts should be there and you should be able to import the ems based layouts again.

Me too

I'm getting the same message with the updated files for both CSS Sculptor rounded corners and Web Assist designs.

Tells me they aren't valid files.

Css Sculptor 2.0.5

Updated to the new version today on Mac Tiger Dreamweaver CS3 but I get the message: While executing onload in wacs_wizard.htm, a javascript error occured. Downgraded to 2.0.4 for now and it's working perfectly. What's the problem?

Chris: What is the file structure of the layouts you are trying to import? Are you following the steps I outlined above when you are importing?

Atsuko: Are you uninstalling the previous version before installing the newer version? It is always a good idea to do this when installing a newer version of a product.
