Multiple issues attempting to use MySqli extension for the first time

I have managed to set up a connection successfully. So far, that's it. The Query Builder/Model Database window is completely blank, showing no tables, despite a "successful" connection. When attempting to create a new recordset, the tables show up in the pull-down menu, but I get a MYSQL Error 1064 referencing an error on line 1 at b64:U0VMRUNUI.... etc. when attempting to "test" even a simple recordset. Then, clicking on the Query Builder button on advanced opens the Query Builder box and I get this error: "Error Inspecting SQL
• table not found: daily_events

These values will be automatically removed the next time
you use the visual editor or advanced tab to edit your SQL"

I've been using MySQL/PHP for years in Dreamweaver (CS6) and have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

We were able to fix this issue in a screen sharing session. The root directory in the site definition was not pointing to the root directory of the site corresponding to the url used.

SOLVED - root directory (on shared server) was the issue!

Ray, you are AMAZING! Thank you so much for all of your help!

I don't know what you mean by 'site corresponding to the url used'. It's been fine and all of a sudden i'm now getting that error. The site is on a Microsoft One Drive account and it's been working fine for months.

If you go to the Dreamweaver site definition and click on "Server" and then edit the server set as the testing server. There you will find a server URL setting. You have to make sure that is the correct url that points to a functioning server and the same directory as the root directory also set in that user interface.

Make sure that if you force https:// that the server url has that as well as www. if your site requires that. What I usually do is copy/paste the server URL into a browser and then wait for your site to come up and then copy and paste it back just in case it changed by a server redirect.
