Import preset from previous version of DA

I'm trying to import presets from the pre-MySQLi version of DA, but I am being presented with an error of: 'The file you selected is not a valid Data Bridge Design preset.'

I have tried this with my previous DA presets, and I have just tested it by exporting the current Beta preset and then trying to reimport it. I got the same message.

Is there a way to edit the presets by hand rather than rely on the import of the preset manager?

Yes. You can copy and paste the presets manually from the configuration folder from your old site to the new one.

The presets are in the folder:
Configuration/Shared/WebAssist/DataAssist/XML

You could copy that entire folder from your old installation and then paste it into your new one. I'd skip existing files in case there have been updates, but that would add back any missing ones.

Here you go, a screenshot of the path for you. You will find any saved presets for any extension saved there.

Just in case you don't know, in finder, hold down the alt key, click on the 'Go' menu and the hidden library folder should appear there. Let go of the alt key and it disappears.
