Can fields be selected based on a mySQl table instead of the presets ?

Not sure if this is available or not it would be nice to be able to sort the listing by last posted date.

Actual question is can the CSS Form builder use a table to select the fields to include in a form and also the type of field it would be ?

No, Form builder can only build static forms.

You could build something like this with form builder and some hand coding. I'd start by creating a form with each of the available form elements you want to use. Then you can create your database and recordset and do a repeat region around all of the available form elements and then add an IF statement to only show the appropriate form element for the corresponding recordset row.

I was asking the question to avoid doing all that. Even ion you had to add the Server Behaviors after that would still speed up the process.

Well the short answer is that it isn't directly supported. I just thought I'd give more detail in case you wanted to tackle it on your own.

I'm a long time Kollection user and am trying to find a replacement now for use with mysqli - not having much luck. I think the biggest thing I liked about kollection was that it made form & list creation and updates so easy to do. I could create a insert - update - delete form with 20 different fields and type of fields or more if needed in about 20 minutes. I am at a loss why no one have relocated that simplicity to date.

That can be done with our Data Bridge tool. It creates insert, update, delete, search, and results pages from a database table.
