Error from MySQL

I had an issue last week with a website loading a blank screen for all pages. I went back to a backup from a few days earlier and the site loads now but since I had not made any updates I am concerned that it will happen again. This is the error.

[07-Mar-2018 23:04:15 UTC] PHP Deprecated: mysql_pconnect(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in /home/baysch/public_html/Connections/PowerCMSConnection.php on line 9
-----------------

/home/baysch/public_html/Connections/PowerCMSConnection.php 9th line looks like as follows.

---------
$PowerCMSConnection = mysql_pconnect($hostname_PowerCMSConnection, $username_PowerCMSConnection, $password_PowerCMSConnection) or trigger_error(mysql_error(),E_USER_ERROR)
-----------

Seems the connection string need to be updated to fix the white screen.

Thanks.

That is just a Deprecated warning. It can be turned off in your php.ini file or on the page itself and be ignored. It just means the code on the page wouldn't work in php7 if you decided to update in the future.
