Is it possible to have a form submit failure page similar to the success page?

Hi

I have the form set up and it works and a successful send opens my file success.php however I'd like to have a page called failure.php to open if the send is unsucessful. Is this possible?
thanks
Ian

Under what circumstances would it be unsuccessful? We should be able to identify those situations and add a redirect to a failure page.

Hi Ray

I've noticed that when I try the form any fields left blank cause the validation message to appear

However if the Captcha is typed in incorrectly I get the progress bar and then the original contact page is displayed with an empty form.

So the enduser has no idea if the form has been sent or not. hence I thought of a failure page to tell the enduser they had mis typed the captcha

thanks

Ian

You can use the Server Validations Show If server behavior to show a custom error message when the validation fails on the page without redirecting to the failure page. That is usually the preferred method. However you could also edit the Server Validations server behavior to set a failure redirect page.

Hi Ray

apologies if I'm being a bit slow.

On my form If I leave the Captcha field blank I get the validation message "Please Enter a Value"

However if I type in the incorrect Captcha I get no error message ie "Your Entry did not Match"

Neither do I get a success page I am just returned to the form page with a blank form.

Some users might assume their message had been sent when it hasn't.

How do I set the form to check that the captcha inserted matches the captcha created on the form

If I highlight the captcha field and select web assist---form---validation---server validations I was hoping I find server variable that represented the created Captcha that I could set to match the user entered Captcha entry but all I see is a Validation Trigger and a server variable to fill in.

Would appreciate and hints

thanks

Ian

There is a Webassist->Security Assist->Show Region server behavior. You can use that to show a region on the page if the captcha fails. The Captcha has Like Entry validation verifying the values match.
