MAMP and MySQLi Server Behaviors

When I recently updated my office Mac, I got PHP7. Nice, for most things! I have a few sites that need php5.6, so I got a copy of MAMP and set it up for PHP5.6. I can't get WA MySQLi Behaviors to connect to a database. I first tried copying existing sites into the MAMP htdocs folders, creating the databases and simply editing the connections file. I then tried creating a brand new site and creating a connection from scratch. When I try to "Select" a specific database from the Connection window I get a warning that

"MySQL Connection Error#: 2002
php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: codename nor servname provided, or not known"

I have wordpress, cart weaver, and site lock all working fine on MAMP. So, I think it is fine.

I have tried both Dynamic MySQLi and MySQL Connection options. For server I have tried both http://localhost:8889 and http://localhost:8888. I have MAMP set to the defaults (Apache port 8888, MySQL port 8889).

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Tom

Server should just be: localhost

no http:// or port should be needed.

Thanks, today is a bit crazy and I only had a few minutes to test... but I think that solved my issue.
