External links not displaying after MAMP upgrade

After completely destroying my MAMP Pro application (nothing worked), I upgraded to MAMP 4.1 with PHP 5.6.32. It will display the pages and also phpmyadmin. However, on the page I have two external links, and those are just gone. What can I do to have the external links display on the pages? Could anyone help? Any other PHP version just displays empty pages.

I'd need to see a copy of the page and the links you are referring to in order to ascertain what might be causing any issues.

Thank you Ray. I think I have sorted it. What baffles me is, why it worked before. I had a temp class with an instant set for the links, that doesn't even exist. I can't remember, why I created that temp class at all (values in the table are 1 or 2), the temp class asks for 0. Still scratching my head. Line 199 in the file.

Anyway, it works now. Thank you for your help.

Is there any urgency updating to Mysqli? That was one of the hurdles.

I don't think so. Most hosting providers still support php4 which was released in 1999. php6 was released in 2008. php7 was just released last year, so I'd say you have at least 5-10 years before being forced to update to php7.
