Unable to browse local computer for file upload

Unable to browse local computer for file upload

Using latest DataAssist (Create Pages). I've unchecked the "Disable HTML Editor file upload" box.

In the editor instance, when I click Image > Browse Server, I get "http://mydomain.org/install_cms/index.php" and a "Not Found" error instead of my local file directories.

I've tried both including the HTML Editor from within "Create Pages" and by inserting it after the pages are created.

I've also reinstalled DataBridge.

Did you use PowerCMS Builder on this site previously? It is trying to get you to install PowerCMS builder. That code should only be there for sites using that tool.

If you want to give me a URL to reproduce and FTP access I can take a look. Most likely the webassist/kfm/ configuration file has to be updated from the powerCMS version to the standard version.

The version of the webassist/kfm/configuration.php file appears to be from a powercms installation. I updated the file to reflect your current site settings.

You should never allow use of the file manager for non-admin users without adding strict security. Malicious users can upload a virus or hack your site this way. I've added login restriction to use the page, but you would have to make sure users couldn't easily create a login.

I'm having this problem again on a different website. When trying to insert a photo or document, and I go to Browse Server, I get a redirection to /install_cms/index.php.

I once started to install CMS but stopped. Now I don't have Design Extender installed because of the errors it throws.

My KFM configuration.php file is attached.

Should I overwrite that file using configuration.dist.php? Or delete the KFM folder and reinstall Data Bridge?

Also, when I go to "WebAssist > Forms > HTML Editor > Site Settings" and make changes, nothing takes. If I go back, it's blank. See screenshot attached.

I've also attached an insert page with the HTML Editor embedded.

It sounds like you have a version of the KFM file manager that comes with powercms, so it can't be configured with Dreamweaver. If you aren't using PowerCMS on this site, maybe delet the KFM folder and it will be re-created with the editable version.

That didn't work. I finally just moved all of the webassist stuff out of the way and let it all get regenerated. That worked. I've been using DataAssist on this site for years. Over the years, wired got crossed somewhere, I guess.

Thanks!
