Coupon Question

I would like to create a coupon/discount that checks for the presence of 2 defined products in the cart and give a discount off one of them, so for example I add a BMW 325 to the cart that entitles me to a discount off a VW Polo if I buy one at the same time but if I remove the BMW from the cart then there is no discount for the VW, both must be present in the cart and be the exact models specified. Does this make sense and is it possible ?

You can add coupon conditions to require another item in the cart to trigger the discount. If you want it database driven then it would require some coding, but of course it is possible.

Thanks Ray, it would need to be database driven so the customer could choose the relevant products from their.inventory.

In that case you would probably have to code something manually. ECart has functions to check if an item is in the cart. You could loop through the coupons returned from a recordset and then set a session variable to store the discount and use the session variable in the cart discount rule.
