Multiple Dynamic drop down Lists

I am creating a sporting club website. On my nominations page, I have created a dynmanic drop down list with the parent list displaying a list of available competitions (ie night / venue).

This list then populates a second drop down list box showing all of the available divisions that are being offered in that competition. (ie comp 1 offers mens, while comp2 offers Mens, Mixed, Womens).

When you select Comp 1, the divisions list only shows Mens, Select Comp 2 and the 3 divisions are shown.

All Working great.

What I want to do is to add 2 x Read Only Text boxs associated with the 2 Dynamic Menu List boxs, that displays some additional information about the selection.

1. When a User selects Comp 2, the first text box would display information about the venue for Comp 2 (ie Street Address etc)

2. When the user then selects one of the divisions (say Mens) the 2nd text box would display information regarding the Mens Division (e.g. "Mens Ages upto 35")

So I can Dynamic Drop Downs populate 2 different elements, or is there another way to populate a 2nd text field based on the selection in the list box.

You will not be able to use Dynamic Dropdowns to accomplish this. You would need to create javascript code to display the additional information in the text boxes, we do not have an extesnion to assist you in this.

I would like to ask a similar question.

I have 2 list items working together created using dynamic dropdowns, (which work OK).

If, on selecting the second, i want to show further information about my second choice, i can write a javascript function to set the value of my text box (or whatever) and fire this on an onchange event.

I want to ensure that the data is relevant to the choice i made with my second dropdown.

If I create an array from a recordset created in php with the appropriate values, how do i retrieve the correct value from the array using js?

This goes beyond the supported features in our products.

You may find the following Javascript Array tutorial helpful:
