Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3' - /WA_Universal_Email/JMail_VB.asp, line 113

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
Server.CreateObject Failed
/WA_Universal_Email/JMail_VB.asp, line 113
800401f3

Line 113 is:
set retVal = Server.CreateObject("JMail.Message")

Upgraded a server today and Universal E-mail is no longer working, throwing the above error. ASP is enabled on the server, the site is coded using Classic ASP, but it's shared hosting and there's not a lot more I can do.

Any idea why this is happening and how to resolve it?

Thank you.

It implies that Jmail isn't installed. We haven't supported ASP in a decade, so I'm a bit out of practice.

The host company have come back with...
"Apologies, as CDONTS and JMail are not installed, it should be cdosys iirc that you should now be using."

Does Universal E-mail have a CDOSYS option? Is it going to be difficult to change the JMail script to CDOSYS?

Thanks Ray.

Trawled through some of my older sites and found a CDOSYS_VB.asp script (attached). I've manually changed the Universal E-mail extension code to match that of the older website I've farmed the code from (also attached) but whilst this doesn't now produce an error, as it did when the JMail script was called, it's not sending the e-mail to destination/s.

Is there anything in these scripts that could be causing this?

You can see this live at https://www.gallowayheathers.com/contact-galloway-heathers.asp

Thank you.

Unfortunately it has been a dozen years since I've worked on an ASP site. You would probably have to google and find a working mail script.

Universal Email always used CDOSYS. I think you must have changed it to JMail.

Universal E-mail gives me a JMail option so I'd been doing that for more recent sites, and certainly for all the PHP sites I develop.

This site, gallowayheathers.com, is Classic ASP though and it has been working just fine so I didn't want to have to completely rewrite it in PHP.

Thing is, the form script was using JMail until I upgraded the hosting and realised that JMail isn't installed on the new server. It's shared hosting so I can't install it.

They have, however, come back to say that I can use CDOSYS so I found the old script, tried it, and it just isn't sending mail out. I believe the script works, mainly because it's not throwing an error message. It's just not sending the mail. Was wondering if you might have been able to spot why. I'll maybe trawl this forum a bit as there might be some historic support on it.

Thanks anyway. If you think of anything, please let me know.
Regards
