Under modify I do not see security assist

Hi

I am using an old version but when I select modify in the DW menu I do not see the option for Security Assist ---- access rules manager

I'm using DW cc and security assist119

Is there another way of accessing this menu?

thanks

Ian

It should appear in the WebAssist menu under Security Assist

Hi Ray

THink I may have more information.

Cookies toolkit installs via the extension manager perfectly but

Security assist brings up the following error

The element DWMenu_modify_selectionProporties cannot be found in C:\users\Ian\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweavercc\en_us\Configurations\Menuss\Menus.xml The extension will not be installed

Although parts of the extensions are being installed because I can run the security assist wizard.

All very confusing

thanks

Ian

all I have under the Web Assist menu is

momento
help
preferences
get more extensions,

I have installed the following having converted them from mxp to xzip

Cookies toollkit
Data assist
Security assist
Dynamic connection

BUT only cookies toolkit is shown in the extension manager.

Under the insert menu I have web assist and the following are listed:

data assist
display cookie
get more extensions
security assist

No where do I see the option to load Access Pages manager

Shall I download, re convert and re install the extensiosn

thanks

Ian

You are using very old versions of the extensions, so I don't really know what the best course of action is. Do you have Design Extender? Would you consider upgrading? I think that is the best option since the versions you are using are more than 5 years old.

Thanks Ray

it seems I would have top upgrade to Databridge to get the latest security Assist and Data assist. I know the extensions are five years old asthat was when I retired I'll have to contact the charity I'm working for and see if they will stand the upgrade cost

cheers

Hi Ray

the charity won't pay but I think I'll pay for it myself.

Question please. At the moment I've got my old data assist set up to search the database and that works exactly as I want it.

As you know I now want to set up access restrictions so if I upgrade to the latest data bridge will that effect my exisitng pages based on the old data assit extension ? ie will I have to start from scratch?

thanks

Ian

It should be backwards compatible, so nothing will have to be redone.
