ok, so have managed to figure out the insert and update redirect....created a session on the starting page and then set the redirect as $WA_redirectURL = "resident_update.php?ResidentID=".($_SESSION['ResInfo']) ."";

However, on the page that is plugged in, if I use the same redirect as above for the delete, I get the erro:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ORDER BY NewsDate DESC LIMIT 0, 20' at line 1

The form submit was failing because the ID wasn't included in the form action. I updated the delete form to include the form action and it works properly now.
