all security rules missing

I have been painstakingly been making a cart with e-cart 6, ecommerce is never easy. Today my client called and said he couldn't get into the cms. I couldn't either. When I checked the index page of the admin_cms and opened the security assist restrict access dialog it says the administrator rule no longer exists, the access rules manager is completely empty. How can I restore my rules? I have backups but don't know where to begin. And how might ecart have wiped this so I don't do it again?

eCart wouldn't have wiped them since eCart doesn't have any security assist functionality. PowerCMS and Security Assist could have overwritten each other somehow. It is also possible that you had an older version of the rules installed and you have installed a newer version of one of our extensions so it is just looking in the wrong place since we changed the directory structure years back.

Anyway, to restore them you can upload webassist/security assist/helpergroupsrules.php for the latest version or WA_SecurityAssist/helpergroupsrules.php for older versions.

It looks like you tried to reply, but it didn't get through. Were you able to get this resolved? If not, please include a URL to reproduce the problem and FTP access and I'll get the site working for you.

I have no idea where or why the rules disappeared but was able to restore them from one of my backups with the path/file you posted earlier. Thanks sooo much for your help as always.
