CDOsys 1and1.com

Trying to move some old ASP sites to 1and1.com. UE page is giving me this error:

CDO.Message.1 error '80040213'
The transport failed to connect to the server.

This normally indicates a bad SMTP Server entry or possibly Authentication. Server name is from them so it should be right. Tried with and without authentication.

On a call with their tech support but he left the call 25 minutes ago - nothing but silence.

Anyone done this?
Can you tip me off on how to code this line?

set WA_MailObject = WAUE_Definition("smtp.1and1.com","25","10","","","")

Reviewed a sample page on their site. One entry that I see on it that I do not see how to set using UE is:
CONST SMTPSendUsing = 2 ' Send using Port (SMTP over the network)

Not sure, but I think that line is redundant.

I think you can usually leave the smtp server blank and it should default to the correct value defined when your server administrator configured the site. The error implies that the value you entered is wrong, so try blank and see if you have more luck.

Thanks Ray.
Got it working. Server was correct but I was authenticating with the email from another domain. As it is hosted on the same server I had assumed it would work but it did not.
