Add to cart product add ons

I have a product page where admin can add product's "Add On" like size, color & etc.

I want this to be also to be displayed on cart.
How is it possible?

FYI:

My Product Structure works this way:

Products: *ProductID, name..
ProductAddOn: **ProductAddOnID, name, *ProductID ....
ProductAddOnTypes: ProductAddOnTypeID, **ProductAddOnID, ..

Every product if needed admin can create own "Add On" & also add multiple "Add On Types"

Yes i had a look at it but i need to display what additional feature was selected.

In my case its dynamic for every product. I need to know the details of the options choosen when added to cart.

I hope you're able to understand.

You can do that. It can be difficult to pull off. Have you considered using Powerstore as a staring point? It has that capability already built in.

How to store them as well in cart? Could you explain me. i don't see any data insertion into db then how can it be done?
I know how to do a cart using data insert kinda options manually.
But eCart isn't doing that. its based on session ids if i m nt wrong.

There are several ways you can do it. You can store them into a single column in the cart "options" delimited... so maybe semi-colon separated.

Then store it into a DetailOptions column in the OrderDetails table in the database.

There aren't any other tutorials other than the ones you can search and find in the tutorials section.

You could either name the dropdown lists with an incrementing number and then use that to search, or you could name all of the lists the same name with brackets at the end like "option[]" and then the options would be submitted as an array you could loop through.

This is going to take some hand coding, so if you aren't able to do that I'd suggest using premier support or using Powerstore as a starting point since it already has this feature.
