Creating a voucher/discount that applies a flat rate credit to cart?

Have been looking through the forum, and a couple of old websites, and most of the voucher/discount solutions are to apply a percentage discount. Is there a way to apply a flat rate credit, therefore a discount, to the cart upon, for example, completion of a registration process?

Thank you.

Yes. The process would be the exact same you just wouldn't multiply the total by the discount for the percentage you would just discount the amount directly.

How do I prevent users from using a discount code more than once? Do we have to filter through all their orders to find the voucher code, in which case do we need to save the voucher code at checkout?

Thank you.

I have added a new discount in the cart window called NEWREG15 which applies a flat rate discount of £15.00 if session variable exists and I have a before page load set up to create that variable without the user's intervention. This is applied when new users register on the site.

However, when I get to view basket it's displaying the wrong Discount title in the basket, instead it's displaying one of the other Discount titles. The discount that's applied is correct, so why is it displaying the wrong title?

You will need to register on the site to see this happening, but it's really quick. Links below.
Thank you

When you run the display manager it gives you an option to either show discounts individually or together. You must have chosen together.

I've updated your confirm_cart.php page to show discounts individually. You can copy/paste the code from there to other places where discounts are displayed (on the view cart page or email receipts)
