MySQLi Login User is wiping session variable

Does using MySQLi Login User wipe any session variables?

Page 1 - a form that ask for a selection from a drop down menu - user submits
Page 2 - before page load session which stores the selection from the drop down menu, plus a MySQLi Login User behaviour
Page 2 - user is logged in but the session variable is wiped

Stuck, again, on something which genuinely seems really simple.
Having a very bad today, sorry.

You should use the POST value you are storing as a trigger for saving the SESSION variables... so on the login page line 6 you should have:

if(isset($_POST["numberoftickets"])) {
$_SESSION["tics"] = "".((isset($_POST["numberoftickets"]))?$_POST["numberoftickets"]:"") ."";

"before page load" happens twice. Once when the page loads, and once more when you submit the login form. The second time is when it gets cleared.
