Hi Ray

Have just migrated a site from remote test server to a live server and the member login isn't working now - it doesn't recognise the email/password combination (yes have double checked spellings etc). What could I have missed or done wrong in the migration.

Page and logins in pm

Thanks

Jamie

It could be that session variables aren't configured properly on the server and the session_save_path is set wrong in your php.ini file.

Try setting a session variable and see if it works. I've attached a test page you can use.

setsession.php

I'd need FTP access to debug. Are you sure you have the correct database connection information and the database is populated on the live server?

Thanks Ray. Have spent the last 3 hours trying to work it out and have narrowed it down to the htaccess file

I have got

#Redirect non-www urls to www
#RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^shillingstone-railway-project.org.uk [NC]
#RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.shillingstone-railway-project.org.uk/$1 [L,R=301]

I have used this on many sites and they all work absolutely fine but as soon as I uncomment them on this site, the login screws up

It seems like it would work to me. You could try using P instead of L in the final line, but really it seems like it would work.
