I am getting some emails not going through mainly to gmail and yahoo addresses with this error Unauthenticated email from rocketmail.com is not accepted due to\n550-5.7.1 domain's DMARC policy. Please contact the administrator of\n550-5.7.1 rocketmail.com

with this error Unauthenticated email from rocketmail.com is not accepted due to\n550-5.7.1 domain's DMARC policy. Please contact the administrator of\n550-5.7.1 rocketmail.com domain if this was a legitimate mail.
The domain name sending the email is comfycampers.info but the from email address is @rocketmail.com
I think if I put a comfycampers.info as the From address and put a reply to to the rocketmail.com address it might solve it.

My question is what do I put in the return path?
I don't think I understand the problem correctly
My mail server is mail.mpmga.org. I have several domains on my server including comfycampers.info.
I am trying to use Universal Email and put the from address as from my mail server, i.e. bsauter@mpmga.org
and the reply address comfycampers@rocketmail.com but in testing the from address is always comfycampers@rocketmail.com

Make sure the domain in the FROM address matches your web site domain. Also talk to your hosting provider and see if they can help you set up DMARK and add SFP records to your hosting to improve email deliver-ability. This isn't something you would have to change on your web page itself. You can google DMARK and SPF records to learn more about how they work.

Thanks Ray,
Yes I had the FROM address different from the sending domain as the customer wanted the replies to come to their address.
I changed the FROM address to an address same as the sending domain and put the customers address as the REPLY address and is now working properly.
My DMARK and SPF records are set correctly

Question- What if anything should go in the return path and what results from it?

The return path is where bouce-back emails get sent when emails fail. FROM shows in the from address when you receive the email and reply to is who it goes to when the recipient clicks reply.

I have this set up properly but occasionally when the person receiving the email hits reply, the to box is filled with the from address in the email generated by UE. See attached screen shot from my setup.
So the email is sent by UE and the received email shows from Comfy Campers <comfycampers@comfycampers.info>.
Then the person hits reply and the reply sometimes goes to the posted "email1" address from the website form, but it sometimes goes to comfycampers@comfycampers.info (which I don't want)?
What am I doing wrong?

Is it possible someone fills out the form without entering an email address or entering a bad email address (without an @)? That would cause the reply to to be blank and then it would default to replying to the from address instead.

Do you have a sample of an email that didn't work properly you can forward to me? I don't know what the cause is offhand, but if I had more clues to go on I might be able to figure it out.

Your settings look correct. The fact that it works sometimes implies it is something different about how the person fills out the form or maybe a different email client viewing the sent email that causes the problem. We would need to track that down to figure out the cause and then the solution.

I have email validation on the input text, so I don't think they leave it blank or put in a non-valid email.
I will try and get a sample of an email the didn't work properly.
What do you mean by 'different email client viewing the sent email that causes the problem'?

Like if they view the email on their phone or a mac or pc? If they view it through a browser or a program like Outlook or Outlook Express.

Something has to be different when you have a different result. So either the form was filled out differently or the email was viewed differently. We have to narrow that down if we want any chance at fixing it.
