Uploading large files

I want my clients to be able to upload their pics from their iphone using standard image resolution. I will find out exactly what that is but regardless if an image is too large I would like to display an appropriate message. This is not happening with my file manager or my basic image upload. Please see attached doc for details and credentials to test.
Thank You!

You are probably running into restrictions from your php.ini file.

There are three basic settings that can limit the upload file size:

upload_max_filesize
post_max_size
memory_limit

You would have to change these three values in your php.ini file to allow the file size you are trying to support. Resizing large files takes a lot of memory, so:

upload_max_filesize = the actual limit of file size you want
post_max_size = has to be larger than the upload max file size to allow the rest of your form fields to be posted as well
memory_limit = probably 5x the upload max file size if you will be resizing the image

Thank You. Where do I find the php.ini file? I looked in the webassist folders and on my server and can't seem to locate it.

You would likely have to have your server administrator (hosting company) make the update. It isn't a file in your web root, it is a server configuration file. Sometimes you can update it in your php.ini file. I'd start by asking your hosting provider how to update those settings.
