Database maintenance to help performance

A while ago you helped out with some optimisation of database tables Ray - adding more indexes etc.

Things improved a lot, but have since degraded a bit again.

Just quickly, do you have any advice for ongoing maintenance - I can see options to do the following to tables:

Analyse
Check
Checksum
Flush
Optimise
Repair

Which, if any, of these might have the most impact on performance?

You shouldn't need ongoing maintenance. If things are slow you probably have inefficient queries on the page that could be rewritten.
