Paypal description

I've obviously done something wrong somewhere but when any order comes through from Paypal it doesn't have the item ID on it but an Item Number that I don't recognise. So, instead of the order coming through with say ID: CATS9Birth it is coming through with Item Number 460

It will use the ID from your shopping cart by default. This is set when you created your add to cart buttons. Are you storing the correct ID in another column in your cart? If so you can update your paypal server behaviors on the confirm and pp_confirm pages to use a different cart column with the correct ID.

I have got the IDs set up as attached - but what is coming out instead of 'cats9thparty-invite' is 'C460' - have no idea where that is coming from

In your cart object definition do you have the ID field set up as 'text'? By default it is an integer and that might be causing issues.

Once you update it to text you would have to re-apply the add to cart server behavior and then that could fix the problem. Do you display the ID on the cart page? I'd do that to make sure it is set correctly first then we can look into why it isn't passed correctly once we are sure it is set correctly in the cart.

Ok I'll do all that and have a look and get back to you - thank you

Yes it was set up as Text already (see attached) How do I get the ID to show on the cart?

You can just get the cart ID from the bindings and add it into your cart display. Just add it next to the name that is already there.

You don't want to re-enter the display manager.

Just open the "Bindings" panel and insert the ID column into your existing cart page.

Right - I think I've done that correctly. I have updated the cart on the server. www.oldtheatrememorabilia.co.uk
