Moved site with power gallery to new hosting and can't get pages to display

A customer wanted to take control of their own hosting so we setup a hosting account for them.
I backed up the databases used by powerCMS and PowerGallery, moved the files across to the customers hosting, reset the databases and then tested.
Any page that has a gallery on it will not render in the browser now. Just a blank page.
I think I changed the database connection files correctly, but can't see whats going wrong.
Could it be that new hosting is PHP 7, old was 5.5?

Site is at fgeorobinson.com

Thanks

Yes I think the issue is the php version. It has to be version 6 or lower to run.

same problem as above....

Hi there,
I'm experiencing the same problme as above - and my Fasthosts PHP version was set to 7, but after chnging it to 5.6, the problme still remians....I can't see any of the galleries, or even bring up the powergallery/admin index page :-(

Is there anything else I can try please?

galleries on: pensionpourchiens-saintpardoux.com

Just a thought - my new server set up is using the IP address instead of the ftp.domain as it is still propogating.....could this be a reason?

I'd have to debug it. What page has a gallery? Can I get FTP access to debug and work on diagnosing what is wrong?

Is this a fixable situation as Fasthosts are gradually moving all their hosting to php7
Or is this product now dead as We move forward
Has anyone cured this problem themselves?

Fasthosts will allow you to set your php version to a lower version for the foreseeable future from your control panel. They are updating their servers to allow php7 but won't be forcing people to upgrade.

I'm sure you can downgrade php versions. Nobody is forcing people to php 7 as a minimum version. Most are still defaulting to php 5 and suggesting a php 5 version but allowing php 7 or 6 flavors for people that want it.

Contact your hosting provider and show them the error on this page:
http://www.pensionpourchiens-saintpardoux.com/powergallery/galleries/slideshow_dissolve/index.php?gallery=1&theme=dark

The important part of the error is:
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'

This is a server configuration issue your hosting provider should be able to fix for you.
