Extreme slow webpages using SQLi seperate powerCMS
Loading time of a couple of websites made with a SQLi connection and a PowerCMS connection are extremely slow.

I would need FTP access to debug something like this and figure out what is causing the slowdown.
It appears there is an issue with the CURL installation on that site. I have created a demo page here you can see the error it gives:
http://www.gewoonmieke.nl/curltest.php
Please show that page to your hosting provider and they should be able to use it to solve the problem.
The issue is that the powerCMS code is trying to verify the serial number and it is failing because of the underlying CURL issue. It only verifies the serial number once per month once it is verified, but if it fails it keeps trying every time someone visits the site.
I've now updated it to mark it verified for this month, so that you won't have the slowdown again until march. That should give you time to fix the underlying issue. If your hosting provider fixes the test page before march then it won't be an issue any more moving forward.
Thanks a lot. That was very helpful.
This is there response:
"This license server IP was blacklisted because of the many connections were made from it".
It should only connect to it once per month as long as it is successful. There were many connections because it failed and it kept trying. So this is kind of a catch 22. It could have originated from another site where the serial number is wrong. If you have a bad serial then it will connect to it once per user session, which can add up. Can they tell you the site that caused the blacklist? Was it yours or another site on their network?
They confirm that it was because of my sites.
I do not care, but is one check while installing online not enough?
People deactivate and return the product, so we just check once per month. The ping off our server literally should take 2 seconds once per month.
We don't deactivate accounts when the serial is invalid, just in case it was some sort of error, but we do keep track and get in contact with people that don't correct the problem. Also without a regular check someone could copy the site once installed to as many servers as they wanted without us knowing.
It would be enough for honest users like yourself, but if we depended entirely on that I suppose we wouldn't need a serial at all.
Okay clear, thanks again.
I wish I asked earlier.
I've been working with the hosting provider on this issue for some time.
