Adding Favorites selection to my databaswe

Hello... I've created a searchable database using Webassist and it's been working out great. This is a list of art & craft shows my members research with the intent of participating. To access the database my customers must log in through the membership program "Amember." What I would like to do is to allow members to individually create a "Favorites" list of events they want to refer to again in the future and then to periodically display. It seems as though I need to associate the userID from my membership software with the recordID in the searchable database I've created and then generate a results page when those match. I'm not sure how to set this up. In fact, I'm not opposed to paying for custom work because the complexities of this may exceed both the space in a support forum as well as my abilities (although I'm willing to give it a try!)

Please let me know your suggestions...

Yes, you would create a Favorites table in your database that stores the UserID and the EventID. Then you can display a users favorites and allow them to insert ore delete from the list.

This is something I can help with in a premier support ticket.

Favorites added problem

I'll take of the money later this morning. But I did run into a problem that I didn't see at first. When I add the record to favorites it changes the font in the "SHOW REVIEWS AND COMMENTS" at the bottom of the record. Refreshing the page doesn't help, but if I leave the record added to the favorites and then go back to the same record with a new search the fonts are fine. If I remove the record from favorites it once again changes the font and adds additional characters to the text in the "SHOW REVIEWS AND COMMENTS"

Here is a sample.... this is with the Art Deco record, but it happens with all the records.

Before adding to favorites:
This is the 40th Annual Miami Design Preservation League Art Deco Weekend. The Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL) and founder, Barbara Baer Capitman, created Art Deco Weekend in 1976 to bring awareness and appreciation to the iconic skyline of Art Deco buildings''

Immediately after clicking the Add to Favorites button:
This is the 40th Annual Miami Design Preservation League Art Deco Weekend. The Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL) and founder, Barbara Baer Capitman, created Art Deco Weekend in 1976 to bring awareness and appreciation to the iconic skyline of Art Deco buildings

The characters are added before every word.

Do you know the solution for this?

Dan

Upon further testing it seems this only happens in Firefox. In both Chrome and Internet Explorer it is fine.

I'm not sure what was causing it, but adding a redirect back to itself after the submit seems to fix it. I've done that.

Putting the link to favorites on the index page

I’d like to also put a button for the favorites on the index page so subscribers can log in and simply click on their favorites. I tried copying the button from the details.php page to the index.php page… and I copied the code that grabs the userID as well. Unfortunately it doesn’t work unless you’ve previously visited the details page and you’ve viewed favorites.

What additional code do I have to copy to the index page so this can work?
