DW 2017 issue

Hi

Since upgrading to DW 2017 I'm unable to drag a recordset field from the bindings tab into the code in the body of a page, for example when trying to add a parameter to an url.

Is it me, or is this a general problem?

It appears to be a problem. I can still drag and drop into design view, but not code view. Setting the cursor to the correct position in code view and clicking the "insert" button still seems to work.

Have to laugh - I've been using DW for years and never noticed/used the Insert button! I will from now on.

I'm continuing to have problems with 2017 and have had to revert to 2015 to keep things going. Now Christmas is out of the way, I'd like to try and get things working properly.

My main issue is with the MySQLi extension - unable to click to add recordset fields to a query.

Does this work for you?

No it doesn't... That is a bug in Dreamweaver that I can't fix since it is an underlying problem with the tree control built into dreamweaver. They may fix it in a future version.. But you can use the querybuilder in MySQLi we added instead. It is a more robust way of building queries.

Thanks. The other issue is javascript errors whenever I open a dynamic page. I've cleared the cache and chnged the workspace layout, as suggested in the forums, but to no avail.

I get:

Whilst executing findDynamicSources in Recordset.htm a Favascript error occurred

The mysqli query builder then doesn't work.

That could be a conflict with another extension or a problem with the page you are working on specifically. Can you send me a copy of the page and I can take a look and see if I can reproduce it.

If not, I'd have to set up a screen sharing session to debug that one.
