Calculation inserted in to a form field based on the user entered value of two other fields...how to add decimal points?
I'm so close with this. Can anyone help?
Here's the basic form:
<form>
<input type="text" class="form-control" id="PFexCHARGE" name="PFexCHARGE" value="0.00">
<input type="text" class="form-control" id="PFexV2" name="PFexV2" value="0.00">
<input type="text" class="form-control" id="PFexPX" name="PFexPX" value="">
</form>
Here's the script:
<script>
$(':input').on('change keyup check',function () { // run anytime the value changes
var firstValueComplex = parseFloat($('#PFexCHARGE').val()) || 0; // get value of field
var secondValueComplex = parseFloat($('#PFexV2').val()); // convert it to a float
$('#PFexPX').val(firstValueComplex + secondValueComplex)
});
function resizeCrossDomainIframe(id, other_domain) {
var iframe = document.getElementById(id);
window.addEventListener('message', function(event) {
if (event.origin !== other_domain) return;
if (isNaN(event.data)) return;
var height = parseInt(event.data) + 500;
iframe.height = height + "px";
}, false);
}
</script>
This works nicely however I need to ensure that the final field includes two decimal points as these are monetary values and it needs to view as such.
Thanks for any help offered.
