Why checkout form countries name twice?

Hello Ray, I am planning to set ecart checkout form and users form dynamically from database. I am thinking to insert all countries name and value code. I found that you have many countries names twice. So, my question is: do I have to insert twice in database too? I created a table with CountryID, CountryCode and CountryName. I also created a recordset for that table like this: <?php
$rsCountries = new WA_MySQLi_RS("rsCountries",$conn,1);
$rsCountries->setQuery("SELECT * FROM countries ORDER BY CountryName ASC");
$rsCountries->execute();
?>

So please when you have chance guide me to set it dynamic but keeping the style you have so I can save as billing too.

Let me meke a comment, everything look correct but the problem is that I cannot save as billing just in case I wish it. so what can I do to fix it?

If you set them both to the same values then the same as checkbox will still work.

We have them listed twice just as convenience so that the most popular options are at the top of the list as well as listed alphabetically.

Sorry Ray to bother you again. Do I have to set both forms dynamically? Billing and shipping form? Because I only set the billing form and maybe something not matching well

Yes, you would want to populate both dynamically with the same options.

Hello again, one more question, in the users profile (usersupdate) come with a selector of countries which is perfect and work very well with the checkout selector when I set United States. If I use other country by default in usersupdate "same as checkbox" not works. Also usersupdate has input for States so no matter what states I have it never save in checkout. Only works if I use select in usersupdate but I can't control all world states so I would like tha usersupdate looks like checkout if I use other country I want it show me an input if is different than Unites states

I'd need to view the url of the page to see why it wouldn't work. Switching from a select list to an input field would require some javascript. That is something I could help with in a premier support ticket.

Can I see a copy of the checkout page? The same as checkbox works when I check and uncheck it. The issue appears to be with the initial value setting in the select lists on the page itself.
