recordset wrangling

Me again! ;)

On the atatched gallerycat_results page, at line 318 am trying to echo the sub category name to help identify images from differrent ids within the same parent category.

At the moment I have only managed to successfully echo the actue numerical value from the column GalleryPageID in table gallery_category but I need to somehow link the RS so that it gets the ProductName column value from gallery_category_contents table and not sue how to modify the WADAgallery rs to do this....

cheers

Jamie

You would use an inner join to join in the column you need... so your query now is:

SELECT * FROM gallery_category WHERE GalleryPage = %s ORDER BY GalleryOrder ASC

it would be updated to something like:

SELECT ProductName, gallery_category.* FROM gallery_category INNER JOIN gallery_category_contents ON gallery_category_contents.PageID = gallery_category.GalleryPageID WHERE GalleryPage = %s ORDER BY GalleryOrder ASC

I don't know the correct join column name from the gallery_category_contents page, but it would be something like the above.
