Trouble passing information from one page to next in eCart

Trouble passing information from one page to next in eCart

Tried to get a product number from WADAProd recordset to show up on eCart RequestforQuote.php page. First tried using eCarts predefined ID column. This column only returned a Session ID, or the Primrary ID from Db; not the Product Number.

Tried to create a new column called ProdNum, but received several errors - maybe because it was named the same as a column in another recordset.

Renamed as PrdNmber, but now receiving several new errors in both Prod_Results.php and eCart Object file (see PM).

Opened eCart 'get from recordset' file in Prod_Results.php (the page that submits to RequestforQuote.php), thinking maybe the error was in an eCart value there. Changed the value to one similar to other values that were working, but now getting this error, so unable to go any further:

Error in button onClick:

TypeError:
document.generalWP.document.recordset.options[document.generalWP.documnet.recordset.selectedIndex] has not properties.

The errors are viewable live only, as the 'headers already sent' error prevents local viewing.

This error:
TypeError:
document.generalWP.document.recordset.options[document.generalWP.documnet.recordset.selectedIndex] has not properties.

Means that it can't connect to the database or can't find the recordset on the page that you used when applying.

The other errors are because you have added a column to the cart and haven't updated the add to cart to specify the values.

What page are you working on? Maybe I can download it and see. I currently can't access the site because of a connection error.

All the eCart pages are having similar issues. Most of them relate to connection errors, file transfer errors, headers already sent errors, etc. still trying to be resolved in other posts.

Can't locate the Add to Cart server behavior.

Here are the pages again.

The add to cart server behavior is listed as:

eCart GetFromRecordset(eCart1, WADAProd)

For me it is the fourth one from the top.

That is the server behavior that can't be modified because of the 'no properties' error referenced above. When I try to modify it, I get the error.

Also noticed the WADA Search server behavior looks like 'WADA Search (Unknown). Not sure if this is related, but tried opening and closing to reset it anyway, but no difference. Also tried selecting the 'Recordset (prodsizeselectlist)' inside the panel, but it deleted the existing setup. Recreated the setup, but made no difference either.

Your recordset code was corrupted. I've fixed it so if you download that page the recordset will show in the server behaviors.

Uploaded files from the remote server, but same errors are there (see PM). Also uploaded with dependent files, but no difference.

You still have to open that server behavior and bind a value for the column you added. I just fixed the recordset code so that it could be opened.

Errors are gone now; only one left is 'headers already sent'. Just a local error, so I'm ignoring and only testing live.

Back to the original issue: Can't get data from select list to pass to eCart. I get a value from the recordset, but not the correct value.

Also, is there a way to total the Quantity, since there's no Price needed?

Thanks

What value are you getting in the cart? What column are you referring to? What did you expect to see?

You will get whatever value is set as the value of the Select list when submitted. If you want to get the same value that is displayed, then the value and text of the select list would be set to the same value. Right now it is set to the ContID field, so that is what will be in the cart.
